Terms of use
Version 1.0 · effective 12 September 2026
1. What Aevumex is, and is not
Aevumex is an app to record your own physical precious metals, follow their value and trade them with other users through listings and chat. Aevumex is not a financial service: we do not sell or store metal, process no payments, hold no funds, do not trade paper gold and give no investment advice. Prices, conversions, returns and suggested prices in the app are indicative and for information only; decisions to buy, hold or sell are yours.
2. Account and security
- You can use Aevumex without an account. An account (e-mail code, Apple or Google) is required for the marketplace, chat and sync. You must be 16 or older.
- Your portfolio is encrypted on your device. You are the only one who holds the recovery phrase. Without your device and recovery phrase we cannot restore your portfolio; that is a deliberate property of the service, not a defect.
- Keep your PIN, recovery phrase and device safe. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
3. Marketplace
- The marketplace is for private individuals offering their own physical precious metals only. Commercial trading is not allowed without our written permission.
- Aevumex brings supply and demand together. The sales contract is formed between buyer and seller; Aevumex is not a party to it, receives no commission and processes no payment. Hand-over happens by meeting or shipping, as buyer and seller agree between themselves.
- You warrant that your listing is accurate (product, weight, purity, condition, photos) and that you are entitled to sell the metal offered.
- Prohibited: counterfeits or misleading descriptions, stolen or unlawfully obtained goods, demanding prepayment beyond what buyer and seller agree themselves, spam, harassment, and circumventing reports or blocks.
- Safety guidance shown in the app (meet in a safe place, weigh and measure, never prepay strangers) is a recommendation; it does not replace your own diligence.
4. Reports, moderation and the Digital Services Act
- Any user can report a listing, message or user from within the app. We review reports as quickly as possible and give the poster a reasoned statement of any measure taken (removal, restriction, suspension).
- We may remove content and restrict or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the law. You can contest a measure via support@aevumex.com.
- Our point of contact for authorities and users under the Digital Services Act is support@aevumex.com.
5. Aevumex Pro
- Pro is an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store or Google Play: €4.99 per month or €34.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan. Prices may vary by country due to taxes and exchange rates; the store shows the final price before purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your App Store or Google Play account settings. A trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. "Restore purchases" in the app moves an existing subscription to a new device.
6. Acceptable use
You use Aevumex only for its intended purpose and do not attempt to circumvent its security, encryption or the limits of the free version. You may not decompile or resell the app. Content you post remains yours; you grant us a licence to display it within the app.
7. Liability
Aevumex is provided as is. We work to keep it correct but do not guarantee that prices, conversions or reports are error-free, complete or suitable for tax filing or other purposes; consult an adviser for that. We are not liable for transactions between users, for data loss caused by losing your recovery phrase, or for indirect damage. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to Aevumex in the twelve months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Termination
You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app. We may change or discontinue the service with reasonable notice; running subscription periods are then refunded pro rata through the store.
9. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's ODR platform.
